Interview: Alexe x Breaking Rocks
Introduce yourself: Tell me a little bit about yourself and what you’re up to right now
I am Alexe, French and I am 24 years old. I have been working within fashion for a few years as a sales executive in wholesale but for now I only concentrate myself to my blog and the creations I made and sell in my shop on Etsy (flower crowns, leather bows, kimonos…)
I currently live in Lyon, France after a stay in London but I will move to Australia before the end of the year.
How would you describe your style?
I never know what to say when we ask me to describe my style as I don’t think I only have one. But I would definitely say that my style is boho and vintage, I love the 60’s and the 70’s.
Where do you pull your inspirations?
I can be inspired by a lot of things and inspirations can be everywhere! The best way to have everything in the same spot is on Instagram.
Which other bloggers inspire you?
A lot of bloggers inspire me but they all inspire me in a different way. My favorites are: weare365, jaglever, misspandora …
What was the…
Last song or album you listened to:
I basically always listen to the same albums and artists (David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, the kills …) But I recently listened to Lana Del Rey’s new album.
Last movie you watched:
I saw JERSEY BOYS to the cinema. Frankie Valli’s voice is pretty damn amazing! I really loved this movie.
Last purchase you made:
A huge order on Free People. I only bought dresses.
What are your current obsessions?
I have been obsessed with kimonos for around 3 years and I am currently designing a line for my shop. I’m also obsessed with my move to Australia so I have been reading a lot about it lately!
What can’t you live without?
Creating. Dancing. Travelling. Coffee. Music.
Do you have any secret talents or weird hobbies you’re into?
I’ve got a few hobbies but there are absolutely no secrets about it. I have been dancing for around 21 years (Modern Jazz, Hip-hop & Musical), I sew, I love thrifting vintage stuffs and I love watching old musical movies!
What are your fav places around the world?
I would definitely say that London is my favorite city in the world! But I never travelled outside the Europe (except to Guadeloupe last March) and I still have a lot of amazing city and country to discover.
