Yosemite Park breaking rocks
BREAKING ROCKS HIT YOSEMITE PARK
Breaking and cracking rocks made the Yosemite National Park roar past September. Thunder and dust came down from the El Capitan rock formation. A place where experienced climbers from all over the world love to challenge themselves to groundbreaking climbing and ascending records. Suddenly the peace and beauty of this place was shaken by Breaking Rocks.

What caused the fall of the 12 stories tall granite? Huge winter rains and hot summer sun experts say. On the other hand; sometimes geology just happens. Luckily mankind cannot control nature.
With over 3MIO visitors annually Yosemite National Park is one of the top tourist attractions in the States. Once you go there you will understand: a glacier created valley with steepest rock in the USA, called half dome, on one side and El Capitan granite rock on the other side. Many waterfalls, including two of the highest in the world. Melted ice flows away through the Merced river with grasslands and forest on his banks. There are over 100 different kind of birds, mammals and very beautiful alpine flowers. Last but not least: there are populations of the famous sequoia trees. The heaviest tree in the world.
No doubt this location is on many travellers bucket list. The unpolished, true nature you find is a great inspiration for many people, including us when making the design for the Legendary Landscape sweater. Timeless just like the amazing beauty and power of nature you find here.
To give you some idea about distances: LA is 500km’s away and San Fransico a bit more then 300km’s. Death valley around 480km’s. There are entrances to the park at the East, West and South, so many ways to discover this Park on the westside of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Have a look at a few more amazing photos.
